A business analyst is a member of a project team who is responsible for analysing a business and gathering requirements to enhance business processes. The BA is responsible for being in between stakeholders and the technical team. They should understand the structures, operations and policies as how the business operates and what it needs to be done? Besides, the BA should recommend the solution to a business problem to enhance the business process.

Why is BA needed for the IT industry?

Yes, it is possible in some sorts for a developer to determine what a business needs, but they implement the risk of having a narrow-minded design. But developers can’t gather requirements as effectively. Also, developers are trained and proficient in their role but they are probably less comfortable and confident comparatively with business users to get requirements.

A test analyst is responsible for executing test cases before it goes live to the customers. Yet, starting on a path as a test analyst can lead to a short-term promotion of IT business analyst.

2. Product development analyst:

In this role, you are responsible for working with a manager in the development and the implementation of new products. You should be capable of analysing the product issues and provide appropriate resolutions. Besides, you should identify the areas of improvements and concerns and also recommend corrective actions.

In this role, you will be responsible for the tasks including whatever your executive needs help with on a given week or day. Operational analyst:

This role is responsible for analysing instance reports, operational processes and supporting the operations by performing manual tasks.

Reporting analyst:

In this role, you are responsible for designing new reports, running existing reports.
